Oxiquim S.A. the major subsidiary of Sintex S.A. is one of the main companies of chemicals integral business in Chile.It participates actively in the commercialization and distribution of chemical products and petrochemicals in the national market as well as abroad. It represents in exclusive way and in each one of its subsidiaries to international companies of remarkable prestige.
Manufacturing and commercialization of its chemical products allows to provide national wood industry , mining, fishing, painting, food, textile, tannery, pharmaceutical, agriculture and plastic, among others.
The business strategy of the company is focused in three areas; Manufucturing (resins division) Distribution (commercial, plastic and international division) and maritime terminals (terminals division).
 

For that, the company has in Iquique facilities oriented to the commercialization and distribution of chemical products for small and large scale mining, both national and foreign ( mainly Peru and Bolivia ) and for different industries of the North zone oriented over all to the plastics industry , polietylenes, industrial clean industry, fishing, metalmechanic and food, among others.In the Bay of Quintero, is located a maritime terminal of Oxiquim , it has a modern mechanized pier and facilities to charge and discharge liquid bulks. With 28 tanks , it has a total capacity over 70.000 cubic meters, it also has three charge islands with multiple positions for simultaneous attention of several trucks.

Quilicura is the most important sales center of the company , which is approved by environmental and safety institutions of the country, for storaging and distribution of chemical products.

Concepcion, by its part , is the center of production and commercialization of resins for wood board manufacturing, remarking the products : Urea formaldehyde resins, and fenol- resorcinol-formaldehyde, here also work the maritime terminal Coronel.

In Puerto Montt, packed products are distributed mainly the corrosive ones. Its principal market is salmon industry through is processor plants. Another important field is composed by milk industries located in x region.
 
 
 
ITS HISTORY
   
 
In the 50`s arised Sintex S.A. in Viña del Mar , in the early years manufacturing sodium and auxiliary chemicals to be used in textile and tannery industry. With the acquisition of lands in El Salto, Viña del mar, its principal subsidiary Oxiquim S.A was formed in 1955, in a partnership with Farmaquimica del Pacifico, the purpose was manufacturing and commercialization of chemical products.
Its successful growth in the 60`s involved its expansion to Brazil , where it founded in 1974 The Latinamerica Chemical society (S.Q.L.A.) commercializing its products to neighboring countries.
At the end of the 70`s its development process finished , transforming the company in a holding or investment company, all commercial activities were given to Oxiquim and Farmoquimica del Pacifico was acquired.
In 1980 started the transformation of Oxiquim into a Public corporation. In that decade also entries to the maritime terminals business for charge, discharge and storaging of chemical products. So the first maritime terminal is inaugurated in Quintero (v region) beginning with the start point in 1995 of its second maritime terminal in Coronel (VIII region)
Looking for expand its business and cover major markets , since the 90`s Sintex and then together with Oxiquim International investments Ltd. it has developed a plan of continuos growth , focused in the creation of several branches in Chile and abroad which can be observed in its rising sales.
